It’s startin’ to get chilly around here!
With the weather getting colder, that means more indoor playtime at our house. And around here that means playdough! My kids love playdough, don’t yours?
I like making my own because it’s so much cheaper then buying it from the store, and it’s a fun thing for the kids to help with too. Plus, I like to add a secret ingredient…essential oils!
Aromatherapy playdough is awesome for kids. Mine love to pick out different scents to play with, and each oil can offer different therapeutic benefits to – some help with concentration, calming, energizing, even immune support. Cool right?! Over the summer I made lemon, lime, and lavender scented playdough. But now that we’re officially in the holiday season, I thought I’d make up some special holiday scented playdough to match the season.
I made cinnamon, peppermint, and rosemary/lemon. These smell sooo good! They just scream the holidays.
Cinnamon is a great immune boost, and seriously, does anything else so quintessentially Christmasy?
Peppermint is great to help with focus and reminds me of candy canes.
Rosemary and lemon create an aroma that’s reminiscent of Christmas trees, and both these oils are great for mood and respiratory support.
You have got to try these out my friends!
