You’re welcome. Because this is the best banana bread ever, and it should probably be a secret. But I’m handing the recipe over to you on the world wide web. Does it feel like Christmas morning?! It totally should, because this is that good! In fact, maybe you could make this for a Christmas morning breakfast…just a thought.
My mom made this recipe for us as kids, and it always made me so happy inside when she did! It’s so delicious! And it just screams fall to me. And lucky for me, we happen to have a banana obsession over here, so I get to make it just about whenever I feel like it! Such a special treat!
So, go get yourself in the kitchen and whip this up! It’s super easy, delicious, and it’s October, you need to make it!
- 3/4c. white flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ c. raw sugar
- 1/3c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tb milk
- 2 mashed bananas
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and milk, mix well. Set aside.
- Mix dry ingredients. Set aside.
- To the creamed mixture, add dry ingredients alternately with bananas, mixing after each addition.
- Pour into greased 8x4 loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Or 2 small loaf pans for 20-25 minutes.
